Anti-Wrinkle Injections – A Genuine Perspective From a Patient

I never thought I would have anti-wrinkle injections or fillers myself; I always used to see people on the TV and magazines who looked like they had obviously hadit done, and I would always say ‘I would never get that done!’ they all looked like they had gone over the top with the filler, and in my opinion they didn’t look normal, so I just assumed that all filler and anti-wrinkle injections treatment would only look like that.

My view of anti-wrinkle injections and fillers changed when I saw for myself the natural transformation and effect it can have on people’s looks and confidence in them. From as little as a deep frown or crow’s feet wrinkles, to wanting fuller lips or more pronounced cheek bones, it really does work wonders. You have the option to how you want the treatment to work. So with the anti-wrinkle injections you can have less product placed, to create a little movement, or you can have the full amount for literally no movement at all. The same with fillers, you can have a little put in to plump up the treated area, or you can have more depending on what look you want to go for.

It is 100% safe and effective, and the results are great. So I thought to myself I would give it a go to see if it would make much of a difference to my appearance.

I started to notice lines appearing in my frown area, as I do have a deep frown, and I also noticed lines appearing across my forehead, so I only had these two areas treated. I wasn’t nervous about the treatment because I knew I was in good hands, I knew the product was safe and I had already seen before and after results, from working in this environment before, so really there was nothing to lose. Although one thing I wasn’t too sure about was the feeling of the little needle being injected, I don’t mind having injections in my arm when going to the doctors etc., but having little ones in my head I wasn’t too sure about. As I was getting ready for the first injection to be placed I was waiting for a shocking sting, but to be honest I didn’t even really feel anything much, the Dr pinched my skin and placed a little tiny needle in, it felt just like a tiny little prick, nothing major at all. So by that I was relieved and felt calmer when the other needles where being placed. The whole treatment literally took only about 5-10 minutes all in total, and was very easy. I felt fine afterwards, and just had a few instructions to follow after, like no gym or facials for 24 hours. I was made aware that it wouldn’t take effect straight away, and for it to kick in totally it would take around 7-10 days. I was also told to keep frowning and lifting my eyebrows up, as this can help distribute the anti-wrinkle injections and possibly could make it work quicker.

After a few days after having the anti-wrinkle injections, I started to feel a funny tight feeling on my forehead, I guessed this was the treatment kicking in and working. The only way I can describe the feeling is like when you wear a face mask and after you wash it off, it goes really tight before you put face cream on. It didn’t feel uncomfortable in any way, it just felt different when I woke up, but after an hour or two I didn’t even notice it, it felt normal. After a few more days I started to see the full effect of the treatment, and I was very pleased with the results. I looked really refreshed and well in myself, like I had just got back from holiday, I had no more lines on wrinkles, they had all been tighten and flattened out. I can still move my eyebrows up and down, the only difference is there is no lines moving on my forehead, and when I frown now, I still frown but there are no deep lines, so I felt like I am doing everything the same, just no lines.

Anti-wrinkle injections treatment can last from 3-6 months, if you’re lucky you get the 6 months, but normally it is around 3 for most people, unfortunately mine only lasts 3 months. So I just top it up every time I feel movement again, but I must say when you see the great results from the first time, you do want to keep getting it done, because it makes you look so well, and when you look great you feel great. So I can completely understand why anti-wrinkle injections treatment is so popular and is still growing. i think I will keep up with the treatment, it just gives you a boost of confidence, and people say you look good, without knowing what you’ve had done.
